Creator credits
Make sense of your creator credit balance and every entry on Creator Data, then redeem them for Floatboat credits.
People are using your work. So where do you check on it? Open Creator Data in Creator Center.
What you receive is kept as creator credits. You can't spend them directly, but you can redeem them for Floatboat credits to use in Floatboat. This page walks you through your balance, your activity, and redeeming.
Where creator credits come from
When someone spends credits to buy or upgrade your product, or to run your Workflow, you receive creator credits. How they're calculated is shown on the Creator Data page and set by the platform rules.
If your website uses FloatPass, those entries land here as well.
For what doesn't count and how refunds are taken back, see Rules at a glance.
Start with your balance
Your balance is the first thing on the page. Get to know these numbers and you'll always know how much you can redeem.
| On the page | What it means |
|---|---|
| Convertible creator credits | What you can redeem right now. |
| Locked credits marked T+30 | New credits wait 30 days before you can redeem them. Anything still waiting is here. |
| Lifetime earned | All the creator credits you've received so far. |
| Lifetime converted to Floatboat credits | How much you've redeemed so far. |
Reading an entry
Want to know why your balance changed? Scroll down to Recent activity. Each entry shows a name, the time, how much went up or down, and your balance afterward. Entries tied to a product also say whether it's a Combo, Workflow, or Workbench.
| Entry | Why it's there |
|---|---|
| Product name | Someone paid credits to get or use your product. It says "Based on X paid credits," which is what they actually spent. |
| FloatPass | Your website completed a purchase through FloatPass. |
| Redeemed to Floatboat credits | You turned creator credits into Floatboat credits. Status is Pending, Completed, or Failed. |
| Clawed back after a refund or compensation | The original transaction was refunded or compensated, so the credits it gave you were taken back. |
Negative balance?
If you'd already redeemed some credits and that transaction is refunded later, your balance can drop below zero. New credits fill the gap first. Once you're back above zero, you can redeem again.
To look up older activity, contact support with the product name and roughly when it happened. Don't send passwords.
Redeem for Floatboat credits
Floatboat credits are what you spend on models and tasks inside Floatboat.
Enter an amount
Under Redeem creator credits, enter a whole number, up to your convertible amount. You'll see how many Floatboat credits that gets you.
Click Redeem
Want to convert everything? You can click Convert all to Floatboat credits instead.
Check it arrived
Find the entry in Recent activity, check its status, and take a look at your Floatboat credit balance.
If it says Pending, give it a moment, then click the refresh button at the top right. If the result still isn't clear, click Retry conversion. It checks on the same redemption, so don't submit a new one.
Something not working?
The Redeem button is grayed out. Your credits may still be in their 30-day wait. Check that Convertible creator credits is above 0.
The page says redemption is frozen. Your balance is safe, but you can't redeem for now. Contact support to find out why.
Your credits don't match what you expected. Find the product in Recent activity and compare the paid credits. Refunds show up there as clawbacks. If it still doesn't add up, send support the product name, when it happened, and the related entries.
A redemption says Failed, or your balance stays off. Note the time and amount of that entry and contact support.
