List a workbench

Put your workbench on the Workbench marketplace, free or paid. This page covers the steps and problems that are specific to workbenches.

Built a workbench that works well, like a timetable tool for a teacher or a points tracker for a small shop's members? List it on the Workbench marketplace so others can install it in one click.

Anyone can list for free. To charge, join the Creator Plan first. The rules are in Rules at a glance.

Version numbers, pricing, and review statuses work the same for every kind of product, and they're covered in Listing and review. This page sticks to what's different for workbenches.

Before you list

On top of the usual checks, keep these in mind for a workbench:

  • Make sure data sticks. Run through the main flow, close it, reopen it, and check your data is still there.
  • Pick a registry name. It's the workbench's fixed name on the marketplace and can't change after listing, for example shop-inventory. Lowercase letters, digits, -, and _ only.
  • Leave out passwords, API keys, and personal data. You're submitting a snapshot of the workbench's source, and reviewers can see what's in it.

Don't have a workbench yet? Start with Workbench. To write one locally with Claude Code or Codex, see Build a workbench with an outside agent.

Submit for review

Open your workbenches in My

Click My in the sidebar, switch to Workbenches, and find the one you want to list.

The My page in Floatboat, with Shop inventory and Customer follow-ups cards under the Workbenches tab. Number 1 outlines the store icon at the bottom of the Shop inventory card, which is what you click to list it. Number 2 outlines the Import workbench button at the top right.

Click the store icon on its card

Hover over it and you'll see Publish to store. Click it to open Publish to Marketplace.

Floatboat first checks whether the workbench is ready to list. That takes a few seconds.

Fill in the listing

The Registry name is checked as you type. Available. means it's yours to use. Taken by another developer. Choose another name. means try something else.

Version, listing name, description, and release notes (optional) work the same as for other products. See Listing and review.

Does this version include breaking changes?: choose Yes if existing users might lose their data or the way they use it after upgrading.

Further down, Content details lists the runtime, the SDK version, how many capabilities it uses, and the minimum desktop version (only if one is set). Don't worry if it's unfamiliar. A quick look before you submit is enough. For what each one means, see How workbenches work.

Set a price

To list for free, leave the price at 0. Paid pricing, and how to pay for the Creator Plan first if you haven't joined, work the same as for other products. See Listing and review.

Click Submit for review

When you see Submitted for review, you're done. From then on, hovering over the store icon shows Publishing status. Click it any time to see how the review is going.

Follow the review

To see where your review stands, check either place:

  • In the app: Publishing status on the workbench's card under My → Workbenches.
  • On the web: Workbenches in Creator Center. Open the product to see the current listing, the latest review, and review feedback.
The Member Points workbench's product page in Creator Center, marked Listed. Number 1 outlines the registry name and current listing: member-points · Current listing: 1.0.0. Under the Review history tab, number 2 outlines the latest review feedback: 1.1.0 · Changes requested. The sample data includes numbers that look like real phone numbers, so replace them with obviously fictional ones and add a step for importing the member list on first launch, then resubmit. Below it, 1.0.0 · Approved.

If it says Changes requested, update the workbench based on the feedback and submit again from the app. For the other statuses, see Listing and review.

Once approved, people can install your workbench from the Skills Store in Floatboat (Combo Skills Store in the menu under your name), or find it on the Workbench marketplace on the web.

Ship a new version

When you've made changes, click Publishing status (or the store icon) again. The dialog title changes to Submit a new version.

Your registry name is already set, so you don't need to enter it again. Enter a higher version, add release notes, and submit for review. For what happens during review and how to change the price, see Listing and review.

Something not working?

"No source snapshot is ready. Save the workbench, then try again." Go back to the workbench, have the agent save its changes, then open the publish dialog again.

"A version is under review. Wait for the result before submitting another." Only one version can be in review at a time. Wait for this one's result, then submit the next.

You paid for the Creator Plan, but your eligibility shows as unavailable. Contact support. Don't pay again.

You want to unlist it. You can't unlist a workbench yourself yet. Contact support. People who already installed it can keep using it.

For general issues, like a version number that's already used or a price reset to free, see Listing and review.
