Explore Agent Skills by Task

Find instructions for coding, development workflows, interface design, writing and marketing, or deployment and browser work. Publisher and original source remain visible.

Choose a Work Area

Coding

Use a focused instruction when the task is to change code: write a test, investigate a failure, improve a React implementation, or refactor without changing behavior.

Development

Clarify a plan, review architecture, preserve context for a handoff, or turn a repeatable task into an Agent Skill. Choose the instruction that supports the current stage of development, then check the decisions and evidence needed to continue.

Design & Interfaces

Choose between creating an interface, reviewing one already built, and inspecting its motion or interaction behavior. They are different design jobs.

Writing & Marketing

An editorial review, an SEO audit, and a new campaign page require different evidence. Pick the instruction that matches the job rather than treating every marketing task as copywriting.

Deployment & Browser

Shipping and checking a web app involves different permissions. Separate preview deployment, token handling, optimization audits, and browser-driven verification before choosing a Skill.

Documents & Spreadsheets

Choose a guide for the file you need to read, create, or edit. Compare PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and spreadsheet tasks, provide the source material and output requirements, and verify the resulting file in the format your recipient will use.

Video Production

Turn a clear video brief into an editable project. Explore the HyperFrames workflow for HTML scenes, assets, command-line checks, and previews, then review the actual result before producing the requested export. The guide keeps composition and tool operations in one place.

What This Directory Covers

This is Floatboat's independent classification of third-party Agent Skills, not the complete Combo marketplace. Skills with a local guide open that page; other entries display their purpose and publisher without a link. A listing does not mean preinstallation or publisher endorsement.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do the Skill categories describe?
They group instructions by the work they help with, such as coding, interface design, writing, or deployment. They describe task fit rather than a guarantee of quality, compatibility, or publisher approval.
Can the same Skill belong to more than one category?
Yes. A browser workflow may support both development and deployment work. Read its actual instructions and required tools instead of assuming that a category label completely defines its scope.
What if my task spans design and implementation?
Identify the next concrete step and choose a Skill for that step. A design review and a code change can use different instructions, with a shared brief and an explicit handoff between them.
Which Skills in a category have a detail page?
Only entries with a guide on this site open a detail page. Other entries display their name, purpose, and publisher without a link. Compare the task scope, then choose an available guide to read further.
Is a Skill the same thing as its underlying software?
No. A Skill can explain how to use a separately installed CLI, framework, or service. Check the software’s own setup and access requirements as well as the instruction file.
How should I evaluate an unfamiliar Skill?
Read the source, confirm the maintained version, and inspect the commands, services, and permissions it expects. Try a bounded task with non-sensitive material before relying on it for important work.
